Big Lottery Fund Winners

20th March 2018

Keith congratulates Active Fakenham, Water Wish Limited, Heathlands Community and Social Club, Reepham and District Rotary Club and Aylsham High School who have all received funds from the Big Lottery Fund for special projects.

The National Lottery

The Big Lottery Fund uses money raised by National Lottery players to support communities to achieve their ambitions. National Lottery players make what we do possible. Players have generated over £37 billion for good causes since 2004.

National Lottery funding is for everyone, and makes a difference to people by transforming communities, protecting our heritage, enriching lives through arts, sports and culture.

The Big Lottery Fund

The Big Lottery Fund distributes 40% of National Lottery good causes funding.

We awarded over £700million to communities across the UK last year, thanks to National Lottery players. The majority of our grants are for under £10,000.

All communities have ambitions and aspirations and National Lottery funding is here to help people realise them.

If you are looking for funding for your community project, consider applying for the following grant programmes:

National Lottery Awards for All offers funding of up to £10,000 to support what matters to people and communities. If you are a voluntary or community organisation, a school or a statutory body – you can apply for funding so you can make something amazing happen.

Reaching Communities provides funding between £10,000 and £500,000 for voluntary or community groups. The most important thing when applying for funding is telling them about your ideas to make positive changes in your community.

They particularly want to hear about projects that support:

  • Lasting and sustainable changes to places and spaces;
  • Communities to develop happier and stronger relationships with each other; and
  • Tackling the root causes of social problems at the earliest possible stage.

Please contact the Big Advice Line to discuss your project idea on 0345 4 10 20 30.
